Pacific Oaks College

About

Founded in 1945, Pacific Oaks School began as a school with 10 teachers and 65 students. In the midst of the Second World War, a group of men and women came together and created a joint fund to launch an institution. After five years of offering higher education courses, the College was founded in 1958. The School and college were built on ideas of social justice and inclusion. The College offers Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in a number of fields including Psychology, Education, Human Development and Marriage and Family Therapy among many others. There are two campuses- one in Pasadena and the other in San Jose. The College is an affiliate of the TCS Education System and a member of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities. Institutional and Donor Scholarships are available for students at Pacific Oaks College. Institutional Scholarships are given to new students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Donor scholarships are given to students who are already enrolled in a programme. The College has partnerships with organisations such as California Head Start Association, CAPSES, YWCA-Greater Los Angeles and International Child Resource Institute.
