Established as the Roman Catholic business school in the year 1927, Tilburg University is an open research university. Located in Tilburg, Netherlands, the university specializes in the social and behavioral sciences, economics, law, business sciences, theology, and humanities. Located in Tilburg in the southern part of the Netherlands, the university partakes education to a student population of over 19,000 students, including 3,105 international students. The institution offers both English and Dutch medium of education. Highly regarded, three major university rankings - QS World University Ranking, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and US News Best Global Universities listed Tilburg among the top 40 in the world and top 10 in Europe for Economics for 2019. As of 2020, the university had 71 bachelor’s and master’s programs of which 48 were English-taught. The university offers specialized courses in economics, social and behavioral sciences, law, business, sciences, and humanities. Other than this, the university works with over 1,500 employees to deliver high-quality education and bring people from various disciplines and organizations together. Also, the university offers programs through its various faculties of which the Tilburg School of Economics and Management is the largest and oldest faculty of the higher education institution. Apart from this, there are four other faculties of law, social and behavioral sciences, philosophy and theology, Humanities, and digital sciences. In addition to these, the university maintains various research centers and graduate schools. The university allows students to explore themselves by involving them in research work. Furthermore, students can go for a unique two-year master’s program in medical psychology at the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Other than this, the university campus is all equipped with modern amenities including a contemporary library with high-tech study and workspace. Students can find e-learning centers, cybercafes, and up-to-date individual and group workspace across the campus. Notably, the university maintains an alumni network with over 78,000 members who are working across the world. Moreover, more than 2,000 alumni are associated with the university as board members, speakers, or donors. Some of the known alumni include Sacha Prechal, Max Euwe, Willem van Genugten, Eric van Damme, John A. List, and Jolande Sap.
