Radboud University was originally found in 1656 and was shut down in 1679 due to insufficient funds. This university has a beautiful nature-friendly campus spread over an area of 100 hectares, which features vast green patches of grasslands and trees. A major portion of the university is also situated inside the Heyendaal Castle. The campus of this university also features a teaching hospital that goes by the name Radboud University Medical Centre. Alongside the hospital, there is the Huygens Building, the Erasmus Tower, Radboud Sports Centre, Elinor Ostrom Building. This university offers English-taught Bachelors study programs in fields of study such as arts and culture studies, comparative European history, artificial intelligence, psychology, business administration, economics and business economics, American studies, English language and culture, international business communication, philosophy, politics and society, biology, chemistry, computing science and molecular life sciences. It also offers master's programs and specializations in specific fields of study such as anthropology and development studies, artificial intelligence, arts and culture, communication and information studies, computing science, economics, environment and society studies, historical and many more. This university also has numerous research institutes such as Research Institute for Philosophy, Institute for Historical, Literary and Cultural Studies. These institutes conduct research in multiple fields of study such as astrophysics, business and law, cognitive neuroscience, cybersecurity, human genetics, infection and immunology, linguistics, microbiology, organic chemistry, and solid-state physics.
